The Camaron tostada is so good. The seafood is fresh, and you get 5 whole shrimps for $6. We also ordered the Al pastor and lengua tacos and they are solid, but the stars are definitely seafood. No seating, but plenty of street parking nearby for you to eat from your car/trunk.

Great marisco truck in Venice. Marisco trucks are an iconic seafood vessel in Mexican communities. There are plenty in South Central to East LA but this one is one of few in a beach city. I had the shrimp and octopus cocktail and it was fresh, tasty, and filling. Classic mariscos with saltines or tostadas and a mexican coke on the side are some of the best comfort food.

Maybe some of the best tacos I've ever had. I can say without a doubt that the fish ceviche tostada was DEFINITELY the best I've had. Good little food truck with polite people inside. Cheap eats and some of the best eats around. Ordered: 2x fish ceviche tostada 1x shrimp ceviche tostada 1x chicken taco 1x carnitas 1x carne asada Carnitas taco was incredible too. Would highly recommend people go out of the way to get this food

Tropical, the island breeze, All of nature wild and free, This is where I long to be... La Isla Bonita! Craving tacos or mariscos in Venice? Head on over to this food truck for lunch! The Gonzalez family has been running La Isla Bonita on the Westside for almost 40 years now. And yes, they named it after a Madonna song that was popular at the time. The truck is usually stationed near the corner of Rose and 4th Ave. Street parking was a bit tough on a weekday afternoon, but I eventually found a spot in the residential area and walked over. No chairs or tables available, so take the food back to the car or stand around and eat. Seafood is their speciality, some of the popular menu items are ceviche tostadas and shrimp cocktails. But they also do tacos, burritos, tortas, and quesadillas with your standard beef, chicken, and pork proteins. I already had fish tacos (this was my second lunch of the day), so I chose asada and pollo. They will ask if you want to add frijoles, which is not something I normally put in tacos. These slow cooked beans taste homecooked, adding a surprising but pleasant creaminess due to the soft consistency. Between the asada and the pollo, I would choose the asada again. Pollo was on the dry side. Don't come here for late night tacos, La Isla Bonita closes at 5. Go early! https://www.instagram.com/laislabonitatacotruck/

The ceviche tostada was delicious, and it was an affordable price of 4 dollars! I really liked the avocado that it came with on top. It made the overall texture creamier after you took a bite into your tostada. Additionally, the flavor profile made me think of home. Since this is a food truck, there are no formal places to sit so once you order your food you will either need to find a place to sit or be okay with eating while standing up (I can't recommend this because you require two hands just to take a bite of your meal. One hand has to hold your plate and the other hand has to grab the food so you can bite it). Also specifically when eating ceviche, it is going to be messy and wet so bring wipes or hand sanitizer for the aftermath. Lastly, I like that this food truck is on a street where there are other goodies that you and your company can grab (dessert, drinks or more food).

I only eat the Ceviche tostada from this place. I have tried their taco's but I prefer to go elsewhere for food truck tacos. However, their Ceviche tostata is so refreshing and satisfying. This would be a cool food to introduce to a friend who is visiting from out of town. Just as a sorta snack. Then you can walk up and down rose for something else.
